Fitness guru

Our neighbors gave us their total body gym a few days ago and guess who thinks its the neatest new toy? (Yes, John does...but so does McKenna!)

Get a load of her new workout!

At the end of her first workout, McKenna said to John, "Daddy, my arms are so tired from all this exercise!)

The future of Starbucks...

...is alive and well.

Brooklyn and I had a very fun morning together a few weeks ago. McKenna was at preschool and Josiah and Daddy were at home sleeping.

Mommy needed a coffee fix and the barista offered Brooklyn her own "coffee". It consisted of a shot of whipped cream with red sprinkles on top.

Now, Brooklyn asks for her own coffee everytime I make a trip to Starbucks.

Framing

Our house is coming along...quickly!

Paul & Abi were kind enough to go out and take some pictures for us a week or so ago. They took a grip and we are thrilled to see our home becoming a reality.

The first 27 pictures are of our house and the rest are of the Teague's home.

So exciting...

Birthday Boy

My little baby turned 1 on Friday. What a year. It was the hardest year of my life! I am so grateful to be at this point.

My cuddly, adorable, sweet, noisy and walking baby boy is now 1.

I am finally seeing the differences in girls and boys. Josiah is NOISY. He just utters noise...funny, cute, loud noises. And he loves to make noise. He will find all sorts of things around the house and bang them together and with a huge smile parade around the house proud of his obvious musical skills.

Josiah is such a cuddle bug! He just loves to give hugs. And not just momentary touches, but big huge hugs! And they typically come with a loving pat to the back. I think his most favorite hugs go towards his big sister McKenna. You should see those two cuddle..it is precious.

He is a great nighttime sleeper and does pretty well during the day....my sanity lies in this!

The Lord has blessed me with a tender son. Josiah has a radiant smile, sparkling eyes, a gurgling laugh and a love for hugs and people.

We celebrated his birthday on Friday by going to Disneyland. Uncle Danny and his girlfriend Diana met us there and we had a blast. Then I made him his favorite dinner....spaghetti. And for dessert, banana pudding. He ate it all by himself with a spoon--messy, but cute. :)

We are having him dedicated at our church this Sunday and having the family over for lunch and a birthday party.

What an incredible milestone. He has gone from a helpless infant needing to be nursed every 2 hours to fight jaundice to a walking, smiling, gurgling, noisy, adorable little boy! What a year! God has shown his faithfulness to me over and over. I was reminded that the joy of the Lord is my strength. His love and compassion towards me has been evident on a day to day basis. It is my deepest prayer and desire that my son will personally know the love and compassion of our Lord and follow Him all the days of his life.

Thank you to all of you who have participated in Josiah's life with your love, prayers, time and support.

Snot & drama

Ever had a day (or 2 or 3) that consisted of just that--snot & drama? That was my day yesterday and apparently today as well.

My children were all a disaster yesterday. Josiah is teething or SOMETHING because he was as crabby as could be. Sensitive to EVERYTHING and crying everytime I turned around.

Brooklyn is in the throws of being 2 and man, I am feeling it! She thinks it is really cute to say "Mommy" as loud as she can, as fast as she can and as many times as possible...despite anything I am doing. Like changing diaper, talking on the phone, praying, prepping snacks, etc. So when I say, "What Brooklyn?" She just smiles at me and says, "hi." Cute I know...but after the 100th time, not so much. Not to mention crying all day with just excessive snot and nothing anyone does makes her happy...quite the opposite.

McKenna is actually being pretty good, so I guess I can't complain too much. She is currently obsessed with being the "leader" so I am seeing a lot of running to the next thing and knocking down her toddling brother (which results in mega tears---drama--- and oh, yeah, snot) and pushing Brooklyn (which results in drama and snot).

Brooklyn is producing so much snot and stubbornly refuses to use a tissue so she smears it all over her face and then the next thing she touches sticks and dries to the snot. I found grass, one of McKenna's hairs and crumbs caked into her cheek at various cleanings during the day. And you can bet, those cleanings didn't go over too well...resulting in lots of drama and yes, more snot.

So yeah, rough day. :)

Too long

Obvioiusly, it's been way too long since I wrote. I got bummed about the computer crashing and having to refind pictures, etc. that I started procrastinating and well...it's been a month.

I'll have several catch up posts coming...
